Production Team Leader

We are seeking a highly organized, dynamic, and experienced Production Team Leader to lead our creative execution efforts. This crucial role acts as the lynchpin between creative vision and finished product, ensuring all design and production projects—from initial concept to delivery—are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of creative workflows, excellent people management skills, and a commitment to optimizing processes in a fast-paced environment.
You’ll be responsible for:
Production Management and Workflow Optimization

Oversee the end-to-end production pipeline for all creative assets, including print, digital, and physical installations.

Develop, implement, and refine project-management processes and tools to maximize efficiency and resource allocation for the Production Team.

Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, preemptively identifying and mitigating potential schedule risks and bottlenecks.

Ensure clear communication with internal stakeholders (e.g., Marketing, Leadership).

Approve final production files and specifications, ensuring that technical requirements for various output channels are strictly met.

Manage a multidisciplinary team of graphic designers, video and audio production artists, illustrators, writers, editors, and contractors.

Conduct regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, and career development planning for all direct reports.

Foster a collaborative, positive, and high-performing departmental culture focused on both creative excellence and timely delivery.

Mediate and resolve team conflicts, addressing performance issues promptly and constructively.

Ensure consistency in artistic style, branding guidelines, and quality across all produced work.
Vendor and Budget Management

Maintain relationships with external production partners, printers, fabricators, and freelancers.

Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors to ensure cost-effective production solutions without sacrificing quality.

Monitor and track departmental expenses, providing regular budget forecasts and reports to senior leadership.
Quality Control and Compliance

Establish and enforce rigorous quality control checks at all stages of the creative and production process.

Ensure all output complies with legal, accessibility, and company brand standards.

Work with IT to maintain an organized system for archiving and managing creative assets and production files.
This position is for you if have:

A Bachelor’s degree in Production Management, Arts Management, Design, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

Professional experience in project management, creative operations, or production leadership, ideally within a creative agency, media, or in-house studio environment.

Demonstrated experience managing both creative staff and external vendor relationships.

Proficiency with project-management software, ideally Asana, and the Adobe Creative Suite workflows.

Strong financial acumen related to managing departmental budgets and production costs.

Experience with production, motion graphics, or video post-production workflows.

Familiarity with digital asset management systems and metadata best practices.

PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
